We serve customers in the solar, wind, insurance, construction, real estate, and critical infrastructure industries. Our mission is to accelerate the global transition to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure through advanced inspection solutions. Take a look at our latest achievements here!

About the Role:

Zeitview is looking for a mid-level IT Engineer to join our Corporate IT team, working fully remote from anywhere in the U.S. In this role, you'll take ownership of core systems, infrastructure, and security work that keeps a distributed, remote-first company running smoothly, while also serving as an escalation point for the trickier issues our helpdesk can't resolve on the first pass. You'll partner closely with IT leadership on projects — rolling out new tools, hardening our security posture, and improving how a globally distributed team gets support — and you'll mentor junior IT staff along the way. We're looking for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly across time zones, and bring both hands-on troubleshooting skill and sound judgment about risk and scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Own and administer core business systems — identity/SSO, endpoint management (MDM), Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, and other SaaS platforms used company-wide.
  • Design, deploy, and maintain the systems and infrastructure that support a fully remote workforce, including cloud-based directory services, VPN, and remote device management.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex helpdesk and end-user issues that junior IT staff can't resolve, and provide guidance and mentorship to help them grow.
  • Manage IT security fundamentals: endpoint protection, access reviews, MFA/SSO enforcement, patch management, and response to security alerts, in partnership with the security team.
  • Administer and monitor cloud infrastructure supporting internal IT systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including backups, uptime monitoring, and basic cost hygiene.
  • Lead or contribute to IT projects end-to-end — tool migrations, onboarding/offboarding automation, new-hire hardware programs, and vendor evaluations — from scoping through rollout.
  • Build and maintain automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) to reduce manual IT work and improve reliability of routine tasks.
  • Maintain clear, current documentation and runbooks for systems, processes, and incident response.
  • Ensure compliance with internal IT policies and support external audits (e.g., SOC 2) by maintaining evidence of controls and access.
  • Partner cross-functionally with People, Security, and Engineering teams to support company-wide technology needs across a distributed workforce.

What We're Looking For:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in IT engineering, systems administration, or a related infrastructure/support role, ideally supporting a remote or hybrid workforce.
  • Solid hands-on experience administering identity and SaaS platforms (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, MDM tools such as Jamf or Intune).
  • Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and comfort troubleshooting connectivity issues for remote employees.
  • Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and general cloud security best practices.
  • Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar) to streamline repetitive IT tasks.
  • Practical understanding of IT security fundamentals — access control, endpoint protection, vulnerability and patch management — and experience supporting compliance frameworks like SOC 2 is a plus.
  • Proven ability to work independently and communicate proactively in a fully remote, asynchronous environment across time zones.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft/Google admin certs, AWS/Azure fundamentals) are a plus.

What’s Included:

  • Feel great about your work as you join a leading mission-driven intelligent aerial imaging company - our goal is to accelerate the global transition to renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, and you personally will play a large part in making this happen!
  • Competitive salary, annual bonus and equity
  • Your choice of multiple medical insurance plans, including one that covers 100% of the premium for yourself and your dependents
  • 100% paid dental and vision insurance
  • Unlimited PTO: We mean it when we say we prioritize work-life balance and mental health. Just be sure to share pictures of your vacation when you return!
  • Equity: Stock incentive program
  • Work-from-home environment: flexibility for employees should be the norm for companies
  • Autonomy and upward mobility
  • Diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture: a place where your voice matters

This role has a base salary range of $70,000 - $80,000 USD, plus a target annual bonus and eligibility for stock options. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location within the USA.
