In this exciting opportunity as an Intermediate Full Stack Engineer, you will be working closely with the product team to deliver cutting edge tech solutions within the Solar team. By leveraging our Python based microservice ecosystem and React based web applications, the Solar team is responsible for ingesting, analyzing, and delivering data for over 100 GW of solar systems a year. You will be asked to build systems that scale to analyze millions of solar panels a day, and render the results in a highly performant web application
(based on Deck.GL). We use a variety of event-driven (Kafka) and REST (FastAPI) based backends to process, serve, and automatically analyze data. You will be responsible for developing applications which span the entire stack, from GPU accelerated web applications, to large scale geospatial processing systems.

 

Responsibilities:


● Work closely with our product and design teams to build new features quickly and sustainably.
● Build and scale microservices to support rapid growth in inspections.
● Break down ambiguous problems and implement solutions that span the entire stack.
● Analyze and optimize UI and application code for efficiency and performance.
● Provide end-to-end support for our existing web applications.
● Contribute to shaping the product with research and ideas.
● Collaborate closely with team-members based in North America to deliver high-quality software.
● Be flexible with working hours to ensure maximum overlap with North American team-members.
● Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and retrospectives.

 

Required Qualifications:


● Python
● Javascript/Typescript
● Experience with REST APIs (i.e. FastAPI, Django, Flask).
● Experience with event driven systems (i.e. Kafka, PubSub, SQS)

● Experience with unit and/or integration testing.
● Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a global team environment.
