About the Role:
As the Logistics Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and facilitating the supply chain operations and inventory management of our company assets. This position will ensure efficient and smooth operations by coordinating and monitoring supply chain activities, managing logistics systems, hardware inventory and ensuring timely delivery of goods to employees and pilots in the field. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong understanding of logistics and inventory management, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and Monitor Equipment Inventory: Plan and track equipment shipments according to requirements. Coordinate logistics activities with internal and external stakeholders both within the US and internationally. Leveraging a logistics management system, continuously monitoring the condition and location of deployed hardware.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and manage equipment inventory levels and shipments to ensure that production schedules and customer orders are met. Conduct regular inventory audits.
- Logistics Systems Management: Utilize logistics software to optimize procedures. Ensure the efficient and effective use of logistics IT systems to monitor shipments, inventory levels, and supply chain activities. Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, such as transportation/shipping or warehouse activities, safety performance, and logistics quality management. Ensure all Zeitview equipment is entered into the logistics system and properly listed with its current location.
- Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements. Familiarity and experience with logistics processes, including Lipo Battery and other dangerous goods classified procedures, logistics, and shipping, are preferred. Provide input on the creation of policies and procedures for logistics activities.
- Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Using inventory management system, ensure regular maintenance or certifications are maintained within periodicity. For equipment requiring repairs, ensure this equipment is returned for repairs, quarantined during repair period and subsequently returned to stock and the field as requested.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that arise concerning logistics operations. Implement contingency plans as necessary. Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues with 3rd party shipping vendors.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the logistics team, procurement department, and other relevant parties to improve processes and resolve issues. Collaborate with other operations teams to integrate logistics with business systems or processes.
- Analysis & Improvement: Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or inventory control
- Experience managing logistics systems and hardware inventory, and coordinating field operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software
- Strong understanding of inventory control techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with logistics processes for hazardous goods, including Lipo Batteries and other dangerous goods classifications.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ISO requirements governing logistics, shipping, and transportation.
- Experience ensuring compliance with domestic and international shipping standards and regulations.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tracking shipments and inventory levels.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal teams, third-party vendors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to improve logistics processes and integrate logistics with business systems.
- Experience working closely with procurement, operations, and external partners.
Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of international shipping practices and customs regulations is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing logistics needs and business requirements.
- Strong customer service orientation focuses on ensuring timely deliveries and resolving customer shipping issues.
- Dangerous goods transportation certification (e.g., IATA/DOT).
- Hold a valid FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificate, Part 61/manned aviation pilots preferred
