About the Role:

The Project Accountant will support our accounting team on a variety of operational tasks and special projects. This role is ideal for a candidate with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys a variety in tasks and  project-based work, and who thrives in a collaborative environment. Key focus areas include billing and revenue recognition during busy seasons, assisting with system implementations, and contributing to process improvements throughout the accounting team.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the invoicing team with preparation, review and reconciliation of customer invoices during peak seasons and other busy periods
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system implementation projects, including participation in user acceptance testing (UAT) and documentation of results
  • Contribute to process documentation and workflow improvements across the accounting function
  • Assist with ad hoc review, reporting and other special projects as needed
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience; experience with billing, revenue recognition, or systems projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google applications; experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite and Quickbooks Online) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in a multi-entity or international business environment.
  • Prior involvement in finance systems implementation or upgrades.

Work Environment:

  • This is a flexible, part-time, remote position supporting our global operations. Working hours are flexible but at least some overlap with US based hours is preferred. Total hours per week may flex as needed to support business demand.
